Burton Eurovault Aver S2
A British-made S2 range sold in several heights. The reason it is on this shortlist is practical: you can match the cabinet to a cupboard instead of buying the largest box on the page.

How it behaves in a house
Measure the route from the front door before you order a taller size. An Aver cabinet is manageable, but it is not a one-handed lift up a narrow Victorian staircase. Fixing to masonry is part of the product: a free-standing S2 cabinet wastes the point of the test.
Keypad versions are convenient. Some electronic Aver locks have no physical override key, which is worth knowing before you buy — a second code, written down and stored elsewhere, becomes the backup.
